Pharmetics was first established in 1956 by the late Hyman Busgang as a privately held contract manufacturer of OTC and natural products. Over the years, Pharmetics has expanded into various product categories including codeine-based products, cough and cold medicines, vitamins, herbals, dietary supplements and sports nutrition. It wasn’t until 1973 that Pharmetics was awarded its first private label contract. In 1990, the business was consolidated to focus on natural health products primarily for the private label marketplace, with a smaller portion of the company concentrating on contract manufacturing and export contracts. Pharmetics soon realized that their philosophy of the best quality for the lowest cost was a natural fit with our customers. It was the continual focus on state of the art technology and qualified human resources that has allowed Pharmetics to lead the supplement industry with quality, price, service and specialized marketing programs.
